A Look at Adam O’Dell’s “iPhone Killer” Stock – Like Buying Apple Stock in 1980?

World-renowned investor” Adam O'Dell believes Apple is about to commit the single greatest act of creative destruction ever.

The deliberate killing of one of the greatest inventions of all time…and it coincides with three equally shocking and destructive events, including an “iPhone Killer” stock.

We reveal it in this teaser review for free.

The Teaser

Adam describes “creative destruction” as the “deliberate killing of a breakthrough product to replace it with a better one.”

Besides having nearly twenty years of investing experience and being the chief investment strategist of financial publisher Money and Markets, Adam is also a philosopher king:

“Mets fan or Yankees fan… Coke drinker or Pepsi drinker… our freedoms and liberties allow us to seek and build lasting wealth.”

Shakespeare move over.

What our resident poet believes is about to get “creatively destructed” is the iPhone.

Why would Apple purposely kill its biggest product which accounted for half of its total revenue last quarter and will probably account for even more next quarter, given the release of the iPhone 16?

For starters, global smartphone sales have been shrinking for years.

This means anyone who wants an iPhone probably already has one and that presents a dilemma.

Continue to tread the beaten path or do as Steve Jobs once said, and “wait for the next big thing.”

What is MM1?

According to the MacRumors forum, Apple called a “secret” all-hands-on-deck meeting at its Cupertino headquarters to find a solution to its dilemma.

What it came up with is an ambitious Artificial Intelligence (AI) product code-named “MM1.”

A Google search for “Apple MM1” brings back results about the tech titan's multimodal large language model or MLLM.

Adam believes that “MM1” will replace the iPhone, I see it as more of a complimentary tech, but ok, do we just buy shares of Apple then?

The teaser says “Owning a few shares of Apple is worthwhile and prudent” but the real gains will come from a company supplying an “indispensable part for the iPhone Killer.”

The Pitch

One report called “How to Profit from the iPhone Killer” details the iPhone Killer’s main component and the name of the company developing it.

The report is ours, but only if we subscribe to Money and Market's flagship research publication, Green Zone Fortunes, for the discounted price of $49 for the first year.

This includes a 30-day money-back guarantee, a bonus report titled Creative Destruction – the Most Powerful Investment Force of the Last 100 Years, at least one new investment recommendation every month, and email updates on open positions.

The Three Equally Creative Destructive Events

At the outset of the teaser, Adam mentioned three equally shocking and destructive events that coincide with the iPhone Killer event.

The first is Bitcoin in 2010, which vows to kill fiat currencies forever and has been the best-performing asset in the world over the last few years.

As for the second creatively destructive act, it's Tesla, as Elon Musk seeks to kill the combustion engine.

Finally, the third creatively destructive act is Novo Nordisk.

As “magic” weight loss drugs like Ozempic hope to kill every traditional diet and exercise program, shareholders of Novo have enjoyed nearly 2,000% returns over the last 15 years.

So, how does this all tie in with the iPhone’s looming destruction?

Well, Adam says it could be even bigger, because “everyone is addicted to their smartphone” and the bigger the disruption, the bigger the profits tend to be.

He lists off five recent breakthroughs as reasons for his profit prognosis:

  1. Addictive technology. Generative AI in smartphones could be a hell of a drug.
  2. More horsepower, which means advanced AI experiences in a small handheld device like we're seeing with an enhanced Siri in iPhone 16.
  3. Buyout mania, with Adam saying AI acquisitions will be a huge talking point on Apple's upcoming October 31st earnings call.
  4. Steve Jobs' AI Vision, that Apple may be resurrecting.
  5. Human Capital, as after spending billions of dollars and a decade on their Apple car, named “Project Titan” they’ve officially killed the project and shifted many of the employees to their new AI division.

What is the company Adam recommends we buy right away?

Revealing Adam O'Dell's “iPhone Killer” Stock

The play follows a very familiar theme of late – energy.

Here are the clues we are given about it:

  • This small Fremont, California-based company has developed a “3D Power” technology that is the first 3D battery of its kind, and it’s designed to deliver at least twice the power of a normal battery.
  • Without this, “the enormous power and promise of AI baked into the iPhone Killer wouldn’t be possible.”
  • The technology is at least three years ahead of Apple’s and it’s protected by over 160 patents.
  • It trades on the Nasdaq and is 0.10% the size of Apple.

The “iPhone Killer” Stock is…Enovix Corporation (Nasdaq: ENVX).

  • Fremont, California-based Enovix develops 3D cell technology and batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage markets.
  • As of December 31, 2023, the company had approximately 50 issued U.S. patents and 160 issued foreign patents.
  • At a current market cap of $1.5 billion, ENVX is valued at roughly 0.01% the size of Apple.

Like Buying Apple Stock in 1980?

What kind of company was Apple in 1980?

Adam provides us with a snapshot:

Before we score Enovix against these criteria, a quick word about the underlying thesis that Apple is going to “creatively destruct” the iPhone.

This idea was first floated by an Apple analyst a few years ago.

Given everything that's transpired since it is much more likely that Apple will instead transition the iPhone into an AI device, rather than kill it off completely.

There is little point in creating a multimodal large language model (MLLM) and not using it in its hardware to create a vertically integrated AI powerhouse.

So where does Enovix fit in all this and is it exactly like Apple in 1980?

Based on his research, Adam is “fully convinced” that Enovix is supplying its proprietary “3D Power” technology to Apple.

The company has signed a deal to deliver high-performance batteries to a California-based technology company for its Mixed Reality headset. This could be either Meta or Apple, but no name was disclosed.

As for Adam's checklist, Enovix did mention that it is making “strong commercial progress with a handful of leading customers” in its Q2 results release.

The company has a well-rounded executive team and board with decades of experience in engineering and technology, and it's definitely in the right place, at the right time, in terms of supplying a product that increases the performance capacity of next-gen devices.

So, it is more like Apple circa 1980 than not and does have 10-bagger potential due to its relatively small size.

However, a word of caution…

Enovix is not yet profitable and as a battery-maker, it is a very capital-intensive business burning through between $68-$88 million per quarter.

This means plenty of stock dilution and debt.

So, while Enovix does have moonshot potential, it also faces the very real prospect of going belly up.

Quick Recap & Conclusion

  • World-renowned investor” Adam O'Dell believes Apple is going to kill off its beloved iPhone and he has one “iPhone Killer” stock to profit from this act of creative destruction.
  • Apple has shifted its focus to Artificial Intelligence (AI), including building a multimodal large language model (MLLM) and one small company is supplying it with an indispensable component.
  • One report called “How to Profit from the iPhone Killer” details this component and the name of the company developing it. The report is included in a subscription to Money and Market's flagship research publication, Green Zone Fortunes, for the discounted price of $49 for the first year.
  • Some solid clues were dropped in the teaser and we were able to reveal the “iPhone Killer” stock for free as Enovix Corporation (Nasdaq: ENVX).
  • Enovix appears to be in the right place, at the right time, as far as product/market fit, and has a lot of potential. But the advanced lithium-ion battery maker has yet to break even and its future existence is still very much up in the air.

Is Enovix an intelligent speculation? Let us know why or why not in the comments.

  1. Adam O’Dell has a new teaser out concerning an SMR company. He says it’s a $1B company, the stock is under $15, the Co-Founder worked for the NRC, the CEO worked for the DoE, and the CFO cam from JPMChase.

Is it SMR – NuScale? The stock is now trading over $25, and so it’s a $2B company now.
