Goldman Sachs says power demand could increase by 160% over the next few years and all of it requires a whole lot of copper.

Because new technology and chemical formulas have made it possible to pull the copper out of this rock.

As one industry expert put it: this is the “Holy Grail” of discoveries.

Turning Trash Into Treasure

This next-generation copper leaching concentrates copper from 0.5% to 99.99%.

And it does so in three steps:

  1. The formula is sprayed over a mountain of this waste rock and it seeps through the rock and leaches out the copper trapped inside.
  2. This formula is concentrated into pools, which is the moment it turns blue.
  3. Once concentrated, it’ll be pumped into a big pool that’s filled with a grid of metal slots. Each slot contains two electrodes: an anode and a cathode. The copper ions in the solution are attracted to the cathode and stick to it, forming a layer of pure copper.

Once the sheet reaches its maximum thickness, it’ll be pulled up out of the solution, and boom, we have a hardened sheet of shiny 99.99% pure copper.

Each sheet is worth thousands of dollars and can be shipped directly to be shaped into power lines, power supplies, and most importantly, computer chips.

Now, my first question upon learning this is, why hasn't this tech been rolled out already?

The answer is that the last of the high-grade copper reserves are now being depleted, so there was no urgent need for it.

But now that copper prices are climbing, firms are searching for solutions, and John's junior miner is among the first to implement this innovative new leaching technology. Let's find out what it is.

Here is everything we know about “the company with major potential.”

  • It is based in America's copper mining breadbasket – Arizona.
  • The junior miner boasts an exclusive partnership with mining mega-cap Rio Tinto.
  • In the middle of the Arizona desert, it has a warehouse that acts as a testing lab for this new technology.

It took some sleuthing, given the general descriptions, but the pick here is Arizona Sonoran Copper Company Inc. (OTC: ASCUF).

  • As per its name, Arizona Sonoran is a Tempe, Arizona-based company.
  • Late last year, ASCUF announced an option to JV with Nuton LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rio Tinto, to use Nuton's proprietary leaching technology at its main Cactus Mine Project.
  • The company's mine site and facilities are located 70 km south of Phoenix, just outside the city of Casa Grande.

Easy 730% gains or Higher?

Digest Publishing has been pushing its “Blue Water” pick since at least the first quarter of last year.

Since that time, Arizona Sonoran has been trading in a narrow range on very light trading volume.

This could mean one of two things:

  • Everyone has diamond hands and is holding for the long term because they know they have something huge.
  • Or existing shareholders have forgotten they even own it and there are no new investors because there's no progress.

The answer is a bit of both.

Arizona Sonoran is currently going through the extensive mine permitting process and has almost received all major permits, with just a few minor permits and amendments left to go. So much for not being a “traditional miner” I guess.

At this juncture, assuming project financing is in place, the Cactus Project is expected to go into production at some point in 2026.

On the topic of financing, the company just announced the closing of a $30 million bought deal common share offering, which will primarily be used for exploration and development at the Cactus Project.

So from this standpoint, it could be the best time to load up on the stock before it breaks ground and the valuation goes up.
